Hey everyone! It’s been a bit since we posted anything new on here. We’ve been busy, just not busy writing content! 2023 is shaping up to be a busy year! We’ve already played a ton of shows including new venues like Tequila Cowboy in Pittsburgh, District 142 in Wyandotte, the Holland Celtic Festival and the Saline Celtic festival!
The Young Dubliners, August 2nd 2023
Next up we’re opening for The Young Dubliners at the Magic Bag in Ferndale. The show is August 2nd! Tickets are $25 in advance and available on the magic bag website. If you click the Events link on our site and click the “more info” button for the event, it will link you to the ticket portal. Needless to say we’re super excited for this show! The Young Dubliners have been a Celtic Rock mainstay for 30 years and getting the chance to open for them is huge! This show is going to be completely off the chain! We plan on blowing the roof off the place and we’re sure The Young Dubliners will do likewise! We hope you can make it out to the concert and help us show them a warm Wakefire welcome!
Coming up we also have a return trip to the Sparta Celtic Festival. We really enjoyed playing there last year and look forward to doing it again! Labor Day weekend we will be making a return trip to DragonCon in Atlanta. We’ll have a mainstage show Thursday night, at least one Concourse show and this year we’ll also be performing Sunday night at the Temporal Formal put on by the Dragon Con Alternate & Historical Fiction Track!

2023 Wakefire Hoodie Design
We’re pleased to be offering a new hoodie this year! The hoodies we released last year went over well and people have been asking when we’ll have more! We decided last year that the gold and white design was going to be limited edition so this year we’re offering an entirely brand new design! It’s kind of like the lyrics to “Sailing Away” – except in this case “bound for adventure” means ” into arms of a Kraken”! As some of you may know, hoodies are VERY expensive to produce. In order to make sure we give everyone the opportunity to get one, we’re offering them as a pre-sale until July 31st, 2023. The hoodies are available to pre-order here on our website. We’ll close down the sale on the 31st and place the production order based on the number of pre-orders we’ve received. If you want a hoodie, now is the time to get one! Also, we plan on making this design limited edition for 2023 so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
